Our times are challenging. And it is not always easy to keep grounded and connected in our world.
Our trusted tools seem to be ok. But not allowing us to get a thorough and sometimes hidden insight into our subconsciousness.
During the 4 day retreat, we invite you to immerse yourself in your subconscious thoughts, patterns and deeply rooted ideas of yourself.
And maybe change them.
The Matter where our retreat takes place, is an incredibly beautiful place to embark on this journey.
Our team, trained professionals Jeanine Souren and Hans van Wechem, founders of the Experiential Training Institute, are the most trusted, established and experienced therapists and guides to support you through a legal, safe and vetted journey, leading you through lucid lands.

Day 1: 12.10.2023 (Thursday) – Arrival

Free time, dinner & short informal introduction
Day 2: 13.10.2023 (Friday) – Preparation
Preparation program, dinner, free time
During the preparatory day, the emphasis will be on preparing mentally and emotionally for the journey experience.
You can explain more about your symptoms, goals, background, important themes and intentions for the psychedelic journey. And you will actively engage in learning about ‘feeling’ your issues.
Day 3: 14.10.2023 (Saturday) – The Experience
Experience day, dinner, free time
The day usually ends around 5:00 PM. We will share food and first impressions of your non-ordinary states of consciousness you have experienced. You will be invited with expressive – and art therapy techniques to express feelings.
Day 4: 15.10.2023 (Sunday) – Integration
Integration program, lunch, departure
The day after your journey, it’s time for the integration therapy day with Jeanine and Hans. During this day we work with techniques from internal family systems, schema focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and also systemic work.

Your Facilitators Jeanine & Hans
Jeanine Souren is a clinical psychologist and sexologist with specialties in couples and families. She also runs a private practice in the Amsterdam area where she works with clients from all over the world, offering regular as well as psychedelic assisted sessions for couples and individuals. Jeanine has dedicated her career to help repair, heal and strengthen relational brokenness and sexual challenges for couples and individuals. She believes relationships are at the very core of human emotions. Relationship with oneself and with others. She also believes that getting in touch with the emotional layer that lies underneath a question is essential, as often, the key to new insight can be found in that layer.
Hans has over 30 years of experience in the psychiatric field and has been working as a psychiatrist in his own private practice since 2003. His line of expertise lies in working with people who suffer from early childhood trauma and attachment disorders. He has profound knowledge in non-ordinary states of consciousness. Hans furthermore is a certified bonding psychotherapist and teaching fellow as well as a systemic psychotherapist. His understanding of the human psyche, his personality and his humor makes him an open minded professional who can see beyond the traditional framework of psychiatry.

How to get there
Culemborg is located in the province of Gelderland, with a short distance from 2 other provinces. Culemborg is very easily accessible by car via the A2. There is a spacious car park at the retreat. The train station is only 2 km away from the retreat and you can also take a train from Amsterdam, change in Utrecht to Culemborg.
