What I teach at ŌHIA:
Yoga

Teaching style:
I am interested in exploring how we move, rather than the moves themselves. The breath is the guru, I try to get out of the way and empower you to lead

Qualifications:
300hr Certified Yoga Teacher, Master’s Degree in Movement Therapy/Trauma Studies, Certified Thai Yoga Bodywork

Life wisdom:
Let it be a continuous cultivation of compassion and boundless love. When we lead with our judgments, love will seldomly happen.

Favourite book:
The Radiance Sutras by Lorin Roche (translation of the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra)

“I’m deeply influenced by Eve Ensler’s sentiment that if our bodies are empowered, awake and aware we will be much harder to master by those who want us sedated. I want to wake up together. The seed of discriminating awareness comes from the communion with the subtle body.

The beautiful paradox is that when we wake up, we realise the path is one of not-knowing, non-duality, a path of mystery. Yoga is a practice of unlearning, a practice to dismantle the histories of ego and self and consumption.
